Testimonials

Being a first time home buyer everything was new to me. Debbie was able to work with me and my tough schedule. She took me through a house within hours after I first called her. Which was good because I had already put a bid on that home. Unfortunately I did that before going through it. Debbie saved me from making the wrong choice and getting a home that would be more money to fix than what I had. Dave and Debbie were always very responsive and were looking out for what we wanted/needed in our home. Once we found the home that best fit us they still kept by our side. They were able to communicate clearly and timely to ensure we got a house that we wanted. We have learned so much about the home buying process. I highly recommend Team Flannery! Thank you so much Dave and Debbie Flannery! We love our new home!

Debbie was extremely helpful and very easy to contact throughout the process of buying our first home. she is ready and willing to help answer any questions. She took us through numerous showings over the course of a few months. When the market wasn't the best she helped us not get discouraged and was very polite sending other listings to our inbox to help us find a match. (We asked her to do that for us, and she was more than happy to oblige.) I recommend any of my friends and colleagues that are getting ready to buy or sell to Debbie and Team Flannery.

Meet Team Flannery

Because of their love of community and family, Debbie and David Flannery set out thirteen years ago to start up “Team Flannery”, a part of United Country Sauk Valley Realty, to make their dreams of independence a reality. Their mottos “Relax. Join Team Flannery,” and “Making a Difference, One Sale at a Time,” definitely shows their commitment and dedication to each family and community that they work with.

Debbie jumped in the real estate arena thirteen years ago, as a challenge from her husband, David. “I wanted something different to do with my life.” Debbie explained. “I needed a challenge. I never back down from a challenge.” David told her, “Try real estate.” So she did.

After passing the “hardest test that I’d ever taken”, Debbie entered the real estate world with David in the background working behind the scenes. Starting their “Team Flannery” approach, Debbie and David went through a time when the real estate market wasn’t so good. “It started in 2007,” Debbie offered. “The housing market just died. But I’m not a quitter.”

Their clients were always important and a part of their family, so Team Flannery held strong. Team Flannery are some of those amazing people that really believe in what they are doing; helping people, sharing their knowledge and making a difference in their client’s lives, while all awhile changing the community in which we all live. With over thirteen years of community involvement, Team Flannery has the knowledge and experience, as well as their commitment to their clients, to help new home owners, as well as seasoned home buyers to make informed decisions about their property investments.

Taking the time to find out what their clients wants and needs are is what sets Team Flannery apart from the others. Their commitment to the processes takes Team Flannery along the journey with their clients from the initial contact to the closing to a lifelong relationship and everything in between, helping their clients understand the whole process. They treat their clients like family. They are invested in their clients, preparing them to be pre-qualified with lenders, offering a large variety of homes with their specific criteria and searching the MLS daily to find that perfect fit for their clients.

“We work for you every day of the year,” Debbie said. With David’s engineering and IT background, and Debbie’s sales and marketing background, Team Flannery offers the most experience and knowledge in real estate decision making abilities.

Wanting to work for himself, David found the opportunity to work with his wife a much better fit, realizing that between the two of them, utilizing both their strengths complimented the real estate business. “We work very well together,” David said. “We strive to do what is best for our clients, and are proud of our very ethical decision making abilities.”

David has an extensive knowledge of homes, being a home builder himself. He is able to go through a home with a client and offer insight to the technical ins and outs of the homes. “Our clients come to understand and trust us to provide a service,” David offered. “We teach new home buyers to make a knowledgeable decision to secure the right home because we take the time to understand their needs and wants.”

Team Flannery has developed a detailed and modern marketing approach for sellers where they learn everything about a home, provide a list for that homeowner that will increase the salability of their home and also provide goals for the homeowner that will help with selling their home. They also provide professional pictures and action videos that they use while utilizing all advertising opportunities, such as social media, open houses and signage to promote the sale of their home.

Being affiliated with the oldest real estate company in the United States, United Country Sauk Valley Real Estate has helped Team Flannery with the resources needed for support in each interaction and sale. They work with the best broker in the Sauk Valley area, Chris King, who is known and active in the local community.

Team Flannery’s future is bright, as they continue to gain the knowledge and experience to help their clients. Their hope is to be completely knowledgeable in specialized real estate like farms, auctions, hunting/fishing properties, golf course homes, skiing, boating and river homes, while providing a living for themselves and contributing to the local community.

David and Debbie, married since June 12, 1982, have two children, Bethany who is 33 and the CEO/President of the Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce In Rock Falls IL, and Derek who is 23 and a project engineer at Bridgestone Tire in Muscatine IA. They also have two grandchildren, and another one on the way!

David grew up in the Maple Park, IL area and has called the Sauk Valley home for over 30 years and enjoys fishing, golfing, photography, computers, watching and coaching soccer and especially the most important, being a grandpa!

Debbie is originally from the Sauk Valley area, growing up in Oregon, IL. Except for ten years where David and Debbie lived in the San Diego area, both are locals with a love for the communities they serve. Debbie’s love for her children and grandchildren is evident in her dedication to them, and loves to learn, teach and bless people. A God fearing woman, Debbie loves people and especially loves to laugh. Her inner strength helps in her work, as she is extremely competitive and a very good negotiator, which supports her endeavors to help her clients.
